Our Year 11 pupils recently enjoyed a fantastic careers visit to BMW, where they had the chance to explore the world of work within the automotive industry. 

Pupils spent time looking around the showroom, learning about the wide range of jobs and roles available, and finding out more about the skills needed for different careers. They also learned how to read the information and labels displayed on new cars and discussed how vehicle finance works. 

The visit to the workshop was a real highlight, giving pupils an insight into the practical and technical side of the industry and the different opportunities available. 

There was time for a hot chocolate too, as well as a chance to put some real-life negotiation skills into action! One pupil successfully negotiated a deal on a new bike and even managed to get a pair of gloves and a motorcycle bag included! 

It was a brilliant visit, full of useful careers information, practical life skills and lots of great conversation.  A huge thank you to Mark James at BMW for organising the visit and for making our pupils feel so welcome.
